College Search Solution offers two levels depending on what is appropriate for your student’s college planning needs.
Complimentary Meeting
If you want to learn more about the available services and overall process we can arrange a complimentary session to review your family’s needs and discuss the general plan that we would follow for a successful journey. No specific guidance regarding the college admission process will be provided during this meeting.
Comprehensive Package – (Full through Class of 2026)
If you would like your student’s academic profile, goals, interests, and character to be the criteria for developing a selection of best-fit colleges, and your student would benefit from regular interaction as they journey through the exciting process of identifying and applying to college, then committing to the comprehensive package is an appropriate choice.
The comprehensive service kicks into gear the summer before junior year. Students may contract as early as freshman year, but guidance will be limited between then and the end of sophomore year.
The comprehensive package includes both standard/guaranteed meetings as well as meetings that follow the needs of the student. Because each student is unique, so is the process that we will experience together. Details of the comprehensive package include but are not limited to:
Evaluation of the student resume including transcripts, test scores, activity participation and critical information such as learning disability history
Assessment of student readiness for college based on the resume evaluation and a set of exercises that involve career exploration and prioritizing college setting ideals
Consideration of parent or guardian input on the student’s academic record, college readiness, and questions regarding the admission process
Education of financial aid process so that the selection of recommended colleges align with the family’s preparedness to pay for college
Facilitation of the secondary research the student will do of the recommended colleges in order to arrive at a set suitable for application
Referrals to tutors, test preparation centers/contacts, or other specialists as needed or requested that go beyond the scope of College Search Solution’s expertise
Facilitation of application preparation, essays, audition requirements, and portfolio compilation
Serving as a mentor and sounding board to the student and family regarding all topics related to the college search process and transition to college
Preparing the student for college visits and interviews with admission officers
Providing full use of the Custom College Plan college search and application management software
Senior Support Package
The Senior Support Package is intended for rising seniors who have done their own research and developed a list of colleges that they plan to apply to but would like support through the application process. An option to add on personal statement / college essay support is available.
Senior Support – Can begin anytime through September of senior year. Eight hours of service that can include guidance on:
Review of student generated college list for appropriateness
Application support to ensure necessary components are included and applications are completed accurately
Deadline management
Supplement (extra writing requirements) support including discussion of relevant topics and proofreading
Financial aid education and referrals to experts if needed
Deciding which colleges should receive standardized tests
Email and call availability to answer your questions
Senior Support + Essay – Must engage no later than July before senior year in order to maximize the summer hours and complete the college essay / personal statement without rushing. Includes the same guidance available within the Senior Support package plus a structured essay curriculum that starts with brainstorming and carries through to a final essay draft. Essay support is not available as a stand-alone service.
Space for the Senior Support and SS + Essay is limited.
